Lloyd's 34 points powers Angelo State past #4 Texas Woman's
San Angelo, Texas - In front of 2,522 raucous fans at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena, the Angelo State Belles handed the Pioneers from Texas Woman's their first conference loss of the season winning 73-69. It was the Sawyer Lloyd show who had a career high 34 points in the upset of the #4 Pioneers. Tayjanna McGhee-Pheasant added 21 points while Madeline Stephens scored 14 points. For TWU, Keslyn King scored 23 points while Sadie Moyer scored 11 in the loss. The Pioneers shot 38.5% from the field and 16.7% from three while the Belles shot 44% from the field and 55% from beyond the arc. The Belles capitalized off of turnovers from TWU scoring 21 points. The Rambelles improved to 21-5 on the season and 16-4 in LSC play while TWU fell to 23-2 on the season and 18-1 in LSC play.
